Born and raised in the small Grand-Duchy of Luxembourg , Max Tholl went on to study History, Political Science and Political Journalism in England and the Netherlands. In January 2013, Tholl joined “The European”. He is in charge of the international site. Tholl has worked for, and contributed to “RTL Radio Luxembourg”, “Huffington Post UK”, and the British “The House Magazine”.
Born in Germany’s industrial heartland, Julia Korbik has lived and studied in Germany and France. Prior to joining “The European”, she worked for NDR television, the Parisian magazine “Cafébabel” and the “Westdeutsche Allgemeine Zeitung”. Korbik is a contributor to the multilingual online project “The Euros”.
Between 2011 and 2015, Lars oversaw The European’s photo department and regularly wrote about digital culture, technology and society – both on the magazine’s German and English pages.
Alexander Görlach is the founder, publisher and editor-in-chief of “The European”. Prior to founding “The European”, Görlach worked for ZDF television, “Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung”, “Süddeutsche Zeitung” and “Die Welt”. He served as online editor of the political monthly “Cicero” and regularly appears as guest commentator on television. Görlach holds two doctorate titles in theology and linguistics.
