Adam Lenton studies Russian, international relations and Japanese at the University of Exeter in the UK. Adam spent his last year living and studying in Russia’s Tatarstan Republic and writes on Russian and Eurasian affairs for Future Foreign Policy, a UK-based think tank.
Alistair Shepherd is Senior Lecturer in European Security in the Department of International Politics, Aberystwyth University. He obtained his PhD in Political Science at the University of Aberdeen, Scotland, specialising in the EU’s security and defence policy. His research interests are in the field of security studies, especially internal and external security in Europe; EU foreign, security and defence policies; Europe’s role in conflict management; NATO and Transatlantic relations; and, national security and defence policies in Europe.
